A California Tradition of Excellence Since 1971
About Two Rivers Soccer Camp
Two Rivers Soccer Camp is a values-driven camp located in the Sierra mountains where high-level training and personal growth go hand in hand. For over fifty years, we have helped young athletes develop confidence, discipline, and character in a structured, supportive environment that also fosters friendships and enjoyment through an abundance of traditional camp activities.
A Camp Built on Purpose
Two Rivers Soccer Camp was founded in 1971 with a simple belief: young people grow when they are challenged in the right environment.
Set on a 43-acre property in the Sierra mountains, a few hours north of San Francisco and minutes from Lake Tahoe, Two Rivers was created to combine elite soccer training with a traditional overnight camp experience. Our mission has always been to develop each athlete’s skills while fostering their social and emotional growth.
Surrounded by nature, our campers gain more than technical skill – they build confidence, character, and lifelong friendships. We believe that when athletes are challenged, supported, and immersed in a setting that encourages exploration and connection, growth occurs both on and off the field.
The Two Rivers Experience
The Two Rivers Experience is built on high-level training, intentional mentorship, and meaningful competition. We challenge athletes to sharpen their skills, think about the game at a higher level, and develop the resilience, leadership, and character that translate far beyond sport.
Set in a beautiful, natural environment, our camp embraces the proven benefits of time outdoors – fresh air, open space, and freedom from daily distractions – creating a healthier, more focused opportunity for growth. Surrounded by nature, athletes recharge, build independence, strengthen social connections, and develop both physically and mentally in ways that extend far beyond the field.
Who We Are
-
At Two Rivers Soccer Camp, we are committed to providing a well balanced, sleep away camp experience that combines a traditional camp atmosphere with high-level soccer coaching. We believe in creating healthy and challenging experiences both on and off the field, while fostering social growth, confidence, and athletic development in every camper.
-
Our vision is to be the most trusted and enduring soccer camp – known not only for player development, but also for lifelong relationships, character formation, and the memories that shape generations.
-
We believe children grow when they are appropriately challenged physically, mentally, and socially, in a positive, well supervised environment grounded in discipline and respect. At Two Rivers, structure and high standards create the conditions for lasting growth.
Our Legacy
Founded in 1971 by educators Dick and Pat Schwendinger, Two Rivers was built on the belief that combining elite training with the power of nature creates the ideal environment for growth.
More than five decades later, their vision lives on — developing athletes in skill, confidence, character, and independence both on and off the field.
Leadership
Two Rivers maintains one of the lowest camper-to-staff ratios among premier camps, ensuring strong supervision and meaningful connection. Each camper is paired with a personal soccer coach on the field and a dedicated cabin leader, creating a positive and supportive experience both in training and in the cabin.
A medical professional is on campus at all times, and we take great pride in our mature, highly qualified leadership team — committed to providing a safe, structured, and inspiring environment for every athlete.
